*Offshore islands to explore
Board a mail
boat from Port Clyde to beautiful Monhegan Island, one of
the most famous of Maine’s islands and the most
photographed with 17 miles of trails and dramatic cliffs (the highest on the coast).
Later, from Lincolnville, take the
ferry to Isleboro (with your car) and explore the winding,
hilly and narrow roads with spectacular vistas. Take a
picnic lunch and soak in the beauty.

*Camden/Rockport/Lincolnville
“Where the Mountains
Meet the Sea”,
these towns are perfectly set between sapphire mountains
and emerald sea. The spectacular setting provides
a natural protection for it's
inland harbors.
*Antique and craft shops
Visit
quaint gift and bookstores, handcraft shops, galleries

a part of the town of Camden is a haven for artists and
musicians. Then off to Lincolnville, quaint with shops, breweries,
or
just relax at the beach and walk the many trails of Tanglewood.
*Museums
Our area abounds
in history and culture. In Rockland plan to visit the Farnsworth
Art
Museum where the largest
collection of work by the Wyeths is on display or the
Owls Head Transportation Museum—home to one of the
largest antique auto, airplane, bicycle and carriage collections.
Spectacular air shows are shown throughout the summer.
Plan to visit the Shore Village Museum, which houses
the largest collection of lighthouse and Coast Guard artifacts
on display in the country.

Hiking, biking and Horseback
Riding
Hike Camden Hills State Park
in Camden which has 30 miles of trails accessed from five
trailheads. Each of
these hikes take you to breathtaking views of the mid-coast.
Bike along the country lanes and enjoy the quaintness of
Camden and Rockport. Go horseback riding along mountain
trails and watch the sunset. Several local stables offer
