Campground Rules

  1. The park is private property that we are happy to share with our guest. Please note that our park is in the Mandatory Shoreland Zoning of Maine whose purpose is, among others, to protect bird and wildlife habitat and to conserve natural beauty and open space. Our common responsibility is to keep the park environmentally friendly – clean and not crowded. 
  2. Sennebec Lake is a family-oriented campground, and the following rules and regulations are necessary for the pleasure, comfort, and safety of all our guests. Please enjoy your visit to our campground and please make sure that all members of your party have read and understand the rules and regulations. Thank you for your cooperation. 
  3. All campers and visitors MUST stop and register at the office.
  4. All visitors arriving from outside must register upon arrival to the campground. Visitors must park, register, and pay a fee, walk in, or discuss options to drive in. All minors must be signed in by parents or a responsible adult. The obligation to pay visitor fee is the responsibility of the Guest. 
  5. The day regular fee for day guests is $5 / holiday & festival weekends $10. The overnight fee: regular $10.00+ tax, on holiday & festival weekends $20 + tax. 
  6. If a Guest expects a visitor after office hours, he/she is required to send an email to the office on [email protected] with all visitor’s names, inform if it will be a day or overnight visitor and offer a payment method: charge the card on file or charge the account and bring the cash to the office the next day. 
  7. Check-out time for day visitors is 10 pm. If overnight visitors are staying longer than 11:00 am the following morning, please re-register at the office and pay the day visitor fee. 
  8. A limit of 5 visitors is allowed per site. The maximum number of people allowed on a site is ten (10) including Guest, his/her camper family and their visitors. 
  9. For special family events, prior arrangements must be made with the office in advance. Per the rules of the campground, all visitors are the responsibility of the Guest whom they are visiting.
  10. Only two vehicles are permitted on each campsite if space allows. This includes boats and boat trailers; they must be parked in the driveway of their Guest site and not on the lawn or grassy areas. 
  11. Additional vehicles must be parked in the guest parking near the Lodge. Our parking space inside the park is limited. For that reason, not all visitors will be allowed to drive into the park. 
  12. No parking on the roads or at vacant sites is allowed. Vehicles parked in vacant lots will be towed at the owner ’s expense. 
  13. Check in for the camping sites 1 pm, for the Cabin and Glamping tents 3pm/ Check-out time 11 am. We offer a late check out till 5 pm, if Your site is available on the departure day. If you wish to stay later, please contact with our office to check the availability. No refunds are given for early departures. 
  14. Quiet hours . Sunday – Thursday 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Friday – Saturday 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please be considerate of your neighbors, keep voices low and lights at a minimum 
  15. Firewood. Firewood must be purchased locally. It is illegal to bring firewood into the state of Maine (to prevent the spread of insects). Do not transport firewood distances greater than 50 miles, even within Maine. 
  16. Safety. Please observe our speed limit of 10 mph. All children under 18 riding bicycles in the campground must wear a proper helmet and observe the speed limit. No riding after dusk or speeding downhill. Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children on land, water and on any equipment.  All children under 15 should be on their own site or accompanied by an adult after 10 PM. No fireworks, firearms, or archery allowed. 
  17. Swimming, beach, and waterfront rules. There is no lifeguard is on duty, swimming and all water activities are at your own risk. No swimming is allowed after dark. Minors must be supervised by an adult. No swimming, diving, or jumping of docks. Use of the boat docks will be at own risk. SLC provides no protection from the wildlife and or other risks of harm. No bicycles, skateboards or other wheeled conveyances on boat docks allowed except those used by handicapped persons.
  18. Care about our environment and wildlife. Our trees are precious so please do not drive nails into them, cut them or deface nature in any way. Stay away from loons on the water. Avoid nesting areas. Retrieve all fishing lines and tackle.
  19. Cars, boats, and boat trailers . Only two vehicles are permitted on each campsite if space permitting. This includes boats and boat trailer. Additional vehicles must be parked in our guest parking area near the Lodge. Parking fees my apply during busy weekends. Motorcycles may be ridden only directly in or out of the campground. No minibikes dune buggies or ATVs are allowed to be operated in the campground. Prior arrangements must be made for all boats. Using boat slips is allowed only with a valid reservation. Ask the office for a designated parking area for boat trailers. 
  20. Golf Carts can be brought into property only if you have made prior arrangements with the office. You need to have a copy of liability insurance to operate your golf cart on the campground. A valid divers license is required to drive a golf cart. You must have fully operational headlights and reflector s on the back of the cart. Only one golf cart per site is allowed. A golf cart fee is $15 a day. No two stoke golf carts or carts that create noise and pollution. 
  21. Fire Prevention. Fires are allowed in safe and secure fireplaces in the fire rings which are provided. All fires must be extinguished before retiring at night or before leaving the site. Fires are to be reasonable in size and located in a place where the fire will not interfere with other Occupant’s health and welfare. Charcoal, gas grills and hibachis may be used if they are operated properly and are in good working order. No liquid petroleum, propane, or similar gas tanks shall be stored inside or under any structure. Gas fuel tanks must be properly installed by an authorized gas company and must be placed at the rear of the home. No flammable materials, including but not limited to gasoline or kerosene, may be stored under or within the unit. Fireworks are not permitted in the campground at any time. 
  22. Alcoholic Beverages. If you chose to drink, please do so responsibly. Maine State Law prohibits anyone under the age of 21 from possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages, or for anyone to furnish alcoholic beverages to persons underage. State regulations allow alcoholic beverages to be consumed only at your site or other areas designated by Sennebec Lake management. Driving a motor vehicle including a golf cart while impaired is prohibited. 
  23. Fresh /Gray water. The Maine Sanitation Code strictly prohibits the discharge of gray water into the ground. If the campground is cited for the violation of gray water discharge and a fine is imposed, payment of the fine and all cleanup will be the sole responsibility of the Guest. 
  24. Trash removal. All household waste must be in plastic bags and placed in the trash containers provided. If the dumpster is full, do not leave trash on the ground. Any other type of waste including but not limited to; car batteries, paint, furniture, mattresses, etc. must be disposed of properly off-site and not left in or at any of the dumpsters. Anyone who leaves prohibited material in or around the dumpster shall pay management whatever costs are incurred in having it removed and disposed of properly. 
  25. Pet policy. Well behaved pets are welcome. A maximum of two (2) well-behaved dogs are allowed on a site. Please clean up after your dogs. Pet waste bags are available on the dog waste stations or for purchase at the camp store. Keep pets on a leash and do not leave pets unattended. Due to state health regulations, pets are not allowed on the beach and playground area. The dog field is recommended for your pets. Dogs breeds considered dangerous ( like pit bulls , bulldogs) are not allowed. Sennebec Lake Campground reserves the right to ban aggressive or unsafe pets from the campground. The pet owner is responsible for all damages made by her/his pet. A pet fee of $30 is required for bookings in the cabin or glamping with a pet.
  26. Please Notice: Management assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or loss of property. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We reserve the right to evict without notice any camper or guest who displays immoral social behavior, excessive profanity, drug, or alcohol abuse or otherwise creates a disturbing atmosphere or violates the park rules. NO REFUNDS will be made in the event of such eviction.
